Went to a friend's 60th party. There was a good selection of buffet, and three puddings. There was still loads left overs but couldn't take them home, cos nothing to put foods on. I thought it was such a waste, and loads bits of small white bread on a silver tray. We've been to Langport Arms for Xmas, some years back. Nice venue.
Dined there on Thursday last and found the meal was good. Fresh vegetables and good quality beef, I assume local. I requested a rare slice or two of beef and was reasonably satisfied. The waitress who served me was absolutely great, friendly and courteous. The waiter assisting her was also courteous and efficient. It is not easy to serve 60+ people in such an efficient manor but they did very well indeed. Well done, both of you!!
Lovely atmosphere. Popped in for a drink and lunch, unfortunately they weren't doing food so we settled for a packet of crisps. Bit disappointed but the staff, wine and decor made up for it. Lovely comfy sofas and a beautiful outside area beckoned us. I'd like to go back when they are cooking.
Whilst the hotel itself is good for a stay, the real highlight was the staff. My car broke down during my stay and their help was paramount in helping me find a solution and getting my car recovered to my home over two hours away. Their help and service was really appreciated and i would definitely stay here again
Never being for a carvery here before. Had a choice of three meats. Very generous portion of meats. Lots of veg and thick gravy. Didn't have a dessert . Great value and everything was hot. Would highly recommend.
Had Sunday lunch here. Very nice and very good quality. The range of meats was good but horror gasp - pork and no apple sauce! I didn't hear the last of it hence only 4 stars. Shame!
